Behind the scenes at the Jubilee of Trees fashion show
Monday, November 23, 2009
I had so much fun walking in the Jubilee of Trees fashion show and met tons of the, Who's Who of St George society. Not only did we get to wear some beautiful clothes, but we raised money for the Foundation of Dixie Regional Medical Center. (what could be better, FASHION AND CHARITY)
Alice Erickson, fashion show chairman and Trina Cobbley, KCSG TV News Anchor MC'd the event; with special guest performer, ELIVIS!!!! Yes, he lives, (well, at the Jubilee of Trees he does.) I couldn't help but wonder how Santa felt about being upstaged by Elvis...
The clothes presented were beautiful. I wore "Christopher & Banks". Some of the other fashions showcased included, Christensen's, Coldwater Creek, Dillards, Dixie Regional Medical Center Thrift & Gift, Eccoci, and Kohl's.
If you missed it, check out our pics... It's almost like being there! :) (well, not really)

Moustache-O-Rama
Sunday, November 22, 2009
Gain moustache inspiration by trying different styles of staches on a cartoon man's face, from big and bushy options like the "Harlot Handles", "Ringmaster", and "Whore Beater" to more subtle styles like "The Spiv", "The Mercury", or "The Damned Frenchman".
Random Creepy Guy!
Just launched out of Santa Monica by a web designer and his sometime-actor friend, Random Creepy Guy is a photo blog composed of otherwise-good-lookin' pictures "ruined" by various deranged outsiders.
Look for pictures like this... "At Least The Bums In Russia Are Happy!": A just-married couple shares a nuptial kiss on an Eastern European bridge as a one-eyed, cigarette smoking beggar smiles, probably because he just realized he's totally got the day off.
Each photo also includes an occasionally-funny caption, and the site accepts user submissions with the hope of updating itself at least twice a day

Some highlights: What typing "Why is" might get you: "Why is there a dead pakistani on my couch" Try "I used m" and you may get: "I used my grandma as a skateboard" Check out what the future might hold for you with "One day I": "One day i will rule candyland with an iron fist.

November 18th Utah Filmmakers Meet and Greet! Share this note so everyone knows!
The Forum will take place
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009
7:00 p.m.
Redman Movies and Stories
1075 S. 700 W
Salt Lake City
(801) 978-9292.
Light refreshments will be served. I encourage each and every member of the MPAU to attend, and I ask that each of you bring a friend who is an industry member but has not yet joined the MPAU.
The entire Board of the MPAU will be present, as well as members of the Utah Film Commission, including Marshall Moore. I expect to discuss the current state of our industry including upcoming productions which have received the Utah Motion Picture Incentive. I want to report on our recent meeting with Governor Herbert, as well as our recent meeting with Spencer Eccles, the new Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. I also want to detail our plans to you for the upcoming Legislative Session. As with all Forums, however, the main goal is to give you an opportunity to express your thoughts and concerns on an in person face-to-face basis. These have been difficult times for all of us, and one of the results has been a considerable amount of misinformation being disseminated. I think it is important to clear the air.
Again, I look forward to seeing you at this Forum on November 18th. Please make every effort to attend.

Cheap... Cheap... Cheap!
Get help sorting out the worthwhile discount goods from the crap, with Cheapism.
From a team of professionally parsimonious entrepreneurs and journalists who've written for titles from Business Week to Crain's, Cheap's a comprehensive online buying guide/review site helping you save on anything from mattresses to LCD TVs without compromising quality, by recommending items they've determined to be "the best of the cheap".
To commence being awesomely stingy, choose a category (Home & Garden, Electronics, Kitchen...) and find a product type to get a thorough breakdown on, including placement in market (high-end to low), plus detailed info/tips to find a solid bargain, broken into sections like "What To Look For" (must-have specs, versatility, lack of unnecessary "pricey" features, etc), "What To Expect" (performance, durability), and "Don't Bother", which points out notoriously awful low-end models to avoid.
If you want to stay up on the latest bargain trends, Cheap's got a blog devoted to diverse thrift-relevant subjects like suggestions for haggling down prices on rental cars and tips on Black Friday etc.
